Russian-language version of the corporate web site of Becker Sp. z o.o., a maker of plastic pallets. The subject of translation were PHP scripts, DreamWeaver templates, google map objects, and PDF files.

A photo gallery by Filip Przetakiewicz. The site presents series of photos in autogrowing strips.

Challenges: a horizontally scrolled area (photo strip) that autogrows as it is filled with content, while the author simply adds text and photos in the CMS’ editor in a general html stream.

Zansin Do-dzo is a Moscow-based aikido school. Site is built on Wordpress. The title screen of each section is illustrated with its own scroll painting.

An airplane factory in the village of Istra near Moscow presents it’s vessels, job offers, articles, e-zine, and forum.

Themed into the Drupal CMS.

This site presented some interesting technical challenges, including

• taming semi-transparent background for cross-browser compatibility,
• integrating Drupal with Simple Machines Forum,
• and a more trivial one: integrating an animated full-screen image viewer in Drupal

Академия Фэншуй (Academy of Fengshui) is a Moscow-based private educational establishment passing on the teaching based on spoken transmission and experience of great Chinese masters.

The site presents a vivid update of courses, seminars, TV appearances, as well as a wholesome volume of articles on fengshui and in-depth case studies.

Business Coaching is a company run by Vladislava Goryanskaya (Владислава Горянская). The site featuring the coach’s training courses, articles, and advice is built on Wordpress although has a very different look — actually Vladislava fancied a Monty Python-esque theme skilfully authored by © Alexey and Oxana Lukanenkovi.

is an on-line wholesale web site integrated with an ERP. On the front end it is a hierarchical goods catalogue and e-shop, which a subset of users (granted editorial privileges) edit and re-structure on-line in a WYSIWYG editor and a set of controls. Written in PHP, MySQL, and MS-SQL, it automatically pumps data from the ERP database (1C) into the CMS database (on the web server). New goods and their measurement units, balance depot stock and prices for each unit are automatically updated at regular intervals. On-line orders are streamlined back into the ERP database. Environment is preserved for each user across sessions to avoid data loss due to network failures or timeouts.

Environment: MS-SQL Server data transformation packages, PHP, MySQL, standard-compliant DHTML/CSS, JavaScript, 1C v. 7.7.

The portal allows authors to publish and edit articles, organised in hierarchical sections and chapters. Users register on-line, edit their profile pages, and publish their material.

Since 2000 I am part of the voluntary team of www.buddhism.ru — the official web site of the Russian Association of the Karma Kagyu School Buddhists. I designed the HTML/CSS layout with content-layout separation, news database engine, user management, and recommendation-based subscription. I also maintain a forum for that web site.
